It has a positive effect on the enzyme tyrosinase, which is partly responsible for melanin production, and keeps the skin even while strengthening the barrier function. Native moss is particularly adaptable to its environment, which means it has tremendous survivability. Its high number of antioxidants and other protective substances also helps the skin to better adapt to external conditions and to ward off stress factors. This optimally counteracts an increased moisture loss, and keeps the skin relaxed and balanced.
